Welcome to the new SIP Sorcery service

The SIP Sorcery service has been upgraded to a new platform. Existing accounts have been moved across so you can carry on where you left off, but a few things have changed.

The switch over from the existing server, including the sipsorcery.com domain change from 67.222.131.147 to 165.245.201.146, will not occur until 2pm UTC on Sunday 1 November 2026.

Signing in

Use the same username and password you used on the old site. If you’ve forgotten your password, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.

What came across

Your SIP accounts (with their existing passwords), dial plans, SIP providers and SIP domains have been copied from the old system. Your phones and softphones don’t need new passwords.

Please check

  • Dial plans: the Ruby dial plan engine has been rewritten, and some old features aren’t supported — Google Voice (which no longer exists in its orginal form), sys.DBRead, sys.DBWrite and sys.WebGet. The Dial Plans page marks any plan that won’t run; open it to see why.
  • Provider registrations were imported with registrations disabled. When the DNS records for the service are moved on 2pm UTC on Sunday 1 November 2026 you will need to enable registrations on any providers you still want to keep registered.

Testing the migration

The service moves over at 2pm UTC on Sunday 1 November 2026. Until then sipsorcery.com still reaches the old service. To use the new one before the move, set your phone’s outbound proxy to do.sipsorcery.com. After the move no changes are needed.

Accounts not migrated

Suspended accounts, and a small number of duplicate logins that shared an email address, weren’t carried across. If you can’t sign in, contact admin@sipsorcery.com.
